We value sustainability and the environment which is why all our textiles are produced from only GOTS or OEKO-TEX certified suppliers. It is at our top priority that our collaborations meet all ethical, environmental and social requirements, to ensure responsibility, quality and sustainability in both the process and result of manufacturing our products.
Our suppliers and ourselves appreciate good relations and a reliable partnership, which is why we have created solid relationships with our suppliers around the world These relations are based on trust, mutual interests and high standards. We have chosen many of our suppliers because they are based in the EU, meaning less transportation of our products and hence less carbon emission and pollution, so that we can reduce our CO2 footprint on the planet.
From one family to another
All our clothes are manufactured in a small family driven company in Portugal, with a long history in manufacturing childcare products and children’s garments. As we, they value security, comfort and quality in every single of their products, which is why all their raw materials are carefully chosen and controlled, according to the OEKO-TEX standards, class 1 and the company is certified with the EKO-LABEL, for manufacturing organic cotton articles.
The family company only uses organic cotton, which is produced in a sustainable way without the use of any pesticides or chemical fertilizers, protecting the health of the people and the planet, promoting an environmentally sustainable agriculture and resulting in social and sustainable quality. According to our supplier, “organic cotton enables the manufacturing of top-quality garments, with softer and more resistant fibres that are also healthier to the skin.”
All our clothes' fabrics are 100% organic cotton, made in Portugal and chosen with great care. The quality of our clothes and fabrics is at the top of our priority, which is why all fabrics are handpicked locally and chosen together with our suppliers. The colors, the design and the functionality of the pieces are carefully defined, so we can offer comfortable garments in top quality.
The mother of the terry cloth towel
All our products from our terry cloth collection are made in Turkey, from 100% organic cotton. The supplier we have chosen to work with, manufactures its products in a very environmentally friendly and ethical way and sees itself as one big family.
In addition to various certifications, such as ISO, BSCI and GOTS, the company has won both prestigious environmental and innovation awards for their work on sustainability and ecology. Their mission is to spread their ecological production philosophy in this sector and to be pioneers in this field. They support movements against environmental and global pollution and in their efforts to be even more sustainable they have a recycling approach and are developing towards zero waste.
Cotton has been an important part of Turkish culture for thousands of years and finds its roots in Turkey. Already when the Roman Empire was in power, Turkey was known for its luxurious towels. Given its history, it is no wonder that Turkish cotton and terry products are still seen as the highest quality products all around the world.
Turkey is one of the biggest suppliers of the world’s organic cotton, that is cultivated without any poisonous or noxious chemicals. Clothing and towels made out of Turkish organic cotton are therefore not only better for the environment, but they also create better and healthier working conditions for the weavers.
Silicone
All Bobbi Balloon silicone products are tested and approved silicone products that meet the highest European standards for “food-safe” substances; the stricter German LFGB standard, that guarantees safe and BPA, BPS, PVC, lead and phthalate free silicone.
We are registered at The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration and all our silicone products are tested by accredited independent bodies. Food grade silicone can be a safer and more convenient alternative to plastic, due to its easy cleaning and hygienic properties, its resiliency and non-porous surface that does not allow harboring of any bacteria.
With almost 20 year of experience our silicone supplier is an expert in manufacturing silicone products for children and babies, with the highest testing equipment and technical knowledge in the field.
CE marked
The CE marking is the manufacturer's declaration that the product meets EU standards for health, safety, and environmental protection
ISO certified
ISO certification certifies that a management system, manufacturing process, service, or documentation procedure has all the requirements for standardization and quality assurance. ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is an independent, non-governmental, international organization that develops standards to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of products, services, and systems.
FSC certified
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), is a non-profit organization that sets certain high standards to make sure that forestry is practiced in an environmentally responsible and socially beneficial manner. If a product, like a piece of tropical hardwood patio furniture, is labeled as "FSC Certified," it means that the wood used in the product and the manufacturer that made it met the requirements of the Forest Stewardship Council.
The FSC certification is considered the "gold standard" designation for wood harvested from forests that are responsibly managed, socially beneficial, environmentally conscious, and economically viable.
Food grade silicone can be a safe and convenient alternative to plastic. Due to its flexibility, light weight, easy cleaning and hygienic and hypoallergenic properties (it has no open pores to harbor bacteria), it is especially convenient for snack containers, bibs, mats, protective sleeves and bath toys.
