Since she was young she had a flair for writing. However, writing children's books has not always filled her life. Maria has studied medicine and works as a doctor in the children's department in Aalborg. In addition, she is a mother of three and started writing her first children's book NullerBørge during her maternity leave with child number two. A story that puts the body in focus and at the same time is incredibly entertaining and educational.
"Writing children's books is a dream come true" - and being able to combine this with my day job as a medical doctor means everything. One has to go for what makes it tickle. Writing has really become a big passion for me and I feel somehow that I have ‘come’ home. Moreover, my friends say - and this is really true - I have always been a “storyteller”, so - again - the writing is natural for me. When I heard about Bobbi Balloon for the first time, the whole universe spoke to me in a very special way. I just HAD to give Bobbi my dedication. That I should become so passionate about the universe and get so many new ideas, I did not see that coming. But it's a great privilege for me and I'm very grateful that the Bobbi Balloon Family shows me the great confidence that it is to let my voice be Bobbi's."
At Bobbi Balloon she has captured the essence of the company - an air balloon always reaching out to help children's in the first of their years. Story telling that can be conveyed and inspire babies and children, as well as parents.
In recent years, Maria has published three new children's books in the "Nullerbørge" series and of course our very own Bobbi Balloon book! We are extremely proud that it was Maria who chose to give Bobbi his life and his very own story.
